Chatty families sidestepped scattered rubbish from drunken midnight fireworks on the way to the final days of the Christmas market when the year’s newest alarming headlines arrived in the daily doomscroll. Another week would pass before dismantling of light fixtures and sound systems, and by that time we’d already seen dizzying updated footage of citizens in strife, streets packed, body bags, and dismissive propaganda from the spin rooms circling, calibrating, reticulating, multiplying, around the globe.
Several years in the works - which I’ve learned is nothing unusual for anyone in writing or analog creative pursuits - have at long last led me to release some long-form writing. In short: I published a book! My intent is to create a series called “Spinning in Right Field” documenting some of my adventures and reflections. A series has the advantage of breaking the drafting and editing process in more discrete (read: less daunting) pieces while also allowing each to stand alone as individual books on the different digital marketplaces. It will still see some improvements, like anything in life, but reached a comfortable stage of readiness such that it’s now available. Enjoy!

You might be shocked that I'm not like this in real life, so poised and effervescent, brimming and dashing with endless energy and grace for worldly ideas, or the appearance of them anyway. A lot of you have picked up on it, on all I've curated here clashing and clanging with the other contrived perfection in digital space, another version of our internet selves crammed into a data center somewhere very very far west of Omaha.
